Does not matter only thing that changes is that there is no trial for him, this will just speed things up because they will just go to the next people in the web. If they were ready for trail that means they are ready to make more arrests.

The other possibility is all the witnesses and known suspects commit suicide and this whole thing fades away. Honestly knowing what we know about how things like this work this is the most likely outcome, but I hope its not.
