Nick, I keep hearing about how smokers may be at increased risk to complications from COVID. I wonder if it is the withdrawals added on top of the disease of if it is the clogged up lungs.

I remember my 2-3 pack a day grandma (lived to 94 and was wishing to go for most of that last 10) trying to quit and having terrible rashes and fever and headaches. Seems like that could really mess you up on top of a novel disease.

Also reminds of how they used to keep liquor in hospitals because people literally died from withdrawals. Maybe get so nicotine patches in case you get your lungs swamped.
