None of the above.
It will be a cluster for a bit, then when it gets warmer out it will mostly go dormant.
Trump will declare victory and give himself another 10 out of 10, and his ballwashers in the Derp State will put another pic of him on the wall to jerk off to.
Then this fall it will cool off and it will reactivate, it will be declared yet another Democrat hoax designed to ruin Trump.
Hopefully everyone will ignore that fuckin buffoon the second time around, and we'll deal with it like adults instead of idiots.
So...about 12 to 15 more months, overall.
Fish on...

It's not going dormant in Australia, Singapore, Thailand etc. I wouldn't get my hopes up that warm weather will stop it. What we need is for the R0 rate to drop below 1 and it will burn itself out naturally. The math dictates it. Right now, the R0 is like 6. R0's of 6 are bad news obviously.
A virus "dies" with a dead host, so it's in a viruses best interest to not kill it's host too quickly. Certain viruses like Ebola are actually decently containable as they kill their hosts quickly limiting further spread. Lesser cold viruses are much more common and successful because they impact their hosts the least - thus enabling spread. This bug is a perfect new killing machine. It's highly spreadable before / during / after sickness (virus shedding); contagious as hell (lung receptors) and kills it's host at the optimal rate without endangering itself by burning too hot. This is a first ballot HOF virus.
My answer: 1 year or less of solid struggle. We are fvcked until they either find highly effective anti-viral treatments (Chloroquine, Remdesivir etc.) or a vaccine that actually works and hope the virus doesn't mutate. IMO...just my $0.02
