The whole initial message of BLM Is being lost. The disparity of blacks in the justice system, receiving harsher sentences, being underrepresented in various systems, etc. all exist and there is plenty of data/research showing this to be true. The crime/police statistics are frequently skewed, however, but the research and data I have seen doesn’t suggest blacks being shot by police at higher rates than white when accounting for or relative to rates of offenses by demographic.

The problem with BLM is that is been hijacked by extremists/antifa and has also become a political tool by the left. The BLM website even says contributions go to the Democratic Party. The unfortunate thing is the real research that needs to be discussed and social justice that needs to occur is lost once the issues become political.
