Rich people can be a bit odd. People do not understand that for many, the game is more important than the prize. Since winning is measured in cash, they do what ever then can to accumulate it. Then, often loose it all trying to get more or give it away. There is a guy in this area that was fairly ruthless. I saw some very questionable actions and saw a few things that made me really wonder what was truly going on. He died a few years back and left several million to charities. While Bill Gates does live pretty nice, he claims his goal is to give away almost all of his money. Probably very little consolation to the people he destroyed on the way up.
