Two fish (steelhead)I remember the most, the first and the one I had to work hardest for.
It was a weekday on the Lyre, first vehicle to the county park. Second car showed up and the occupant beat me down to the river...when I finally got down there he huriedly reeled up and moved to the next hole. Knowing he'd be one ahead of me I decided to fish in his wake. Before even making the first cast I asked myself, if I were a fish and someone startled me where would I go? Picking what I though would be a likely spot, on the third cast...fish! A 7lb. hen, mint bright and two jumps she headed down stream and threw the hook! No one there to witness it but me and the sound of that great river...BEST FISH I ever hooked. ><> ><> ><>
