Most of the time the point should be ponting concave side. But not always. One exception is the popular, Blue Fox Pixie, which should be rigged - point facing convex side, a.k.a. "egg sac" side. Apparently the plastic insert produces a funky bouyancy resulting in the spoon riding concave side down the majority of the time while in the water. Positioning the siwash in the "conventional" manner will result in many more hang-ups. This isn't bull. I read this juicy tidbit from a tech report put out by Rapala/Blue Fox.
