What is the diffeence between a good fisher and a good guide. The guide is on the water daily ( or not making $$$$ ) and they recognize patterns and changes in the enviroment and fish. The good fisher can adj. fast but the guide on the river will know. Just like a couple years back when the Coho stacked up heavy around Higgins Island one guide had been around for a week or so and then just was in hog heaven when the fish stopped 3 days later he ha a whole lot of new buddies. Thing is he had about 7 days of as good as it gets fishing and others a couple. By simply being on the water and searching for fish he knew where to be and it can be really important.
