It's entirely appropriate that Democrats not stand with or stand for the president when he happens to be the most despicable excuse for a human being that most of us have ever seen. It's not about veteran, heroes, or victims. It's all about parading these people for the express purpose of salving the president's fragile ego. Now, every president has done this, Rs & Ds, and it makes me cringe every time; it has no place in the president's speech. And for showing up to help aggrandize the president, I have less respect for the men's Olympic hockey team than I did the day before. Anyone with any self respect would have given trump the same "fvck off" message the women's team did.

As for refusing to stand with or for others experiencing pain, how about that trump appointee Pam Bondi refusing to turn and look at or acknowledge the presence of Epstein victims who were sitting right behind her as she testified to the House Judiciary Committee about the Epstein files where she is hiding sexual predators? Politics can be a dirty bed to lie in.
