"Bay will screw over upper basin , mainstem fishers will put it to trib fishers and let us not forget the banky vs boat or jet boats vs drift boats. Freshwater fishers are the most dog eat dog bunch as to allocation"- there are a lot of "rice bowls" out there! In the past I have fished for 15 years in Alaska-Prince of Wales and Cordova-they don't allow eggs until escapement is reached. If I was King for a day, I would do the same-as stated -particularly in rivers that Chinook retention is not allowed. Egg fishing is not a rice bowl for me-so easy for me to say. My rice bowl is fishing-my shelf life is down to single digits-and My plan is to fish until the day I check out. I do want there to be a fishery for my sons and grandson. Tight lines where ever and how ever you fish.
