Enough is enough already!!!
I'm sorry if I offend anyone with this but I just can't hold it back any longer. It needs to be said!! I've said it before and I'll say it again. There's a thin red line between genius and insanity. Not only have most of us crossed it many times lately bashing each other on Northwest fishing forum boards across the web,...We've completely erased it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have we all forgotten why we fish? Why we go out every chance we get to wet a line?
Where's the fun gone in our sport? Whatever happened to the days on the river when we'd pass another boat and say "HI!! How you guys doing today" Or even pass a bank angler in our boat and show them some respect and the water they are fishing. "Hi, how Ya doing today? Would you like me to pass you on the inside or the outside?" What ever happened to common courtesy on the river?
WHERE HAS THE FUN GONE????? Seems to me there's been more fear out there than fun!!
Guides bashing guides? Not cool!!! Hats off to you Bob for not involving yourself web wise in any bashing going on. I don't know what goes on off the web and it's not my problem or anyone else's out there.
It seems to me as a guide that the brotherhood and comradery of the whole thing has completely gone out of it on some of our Northwest rivers. Not all but some!!! Personally I still really enjoy the company of guides like Robbo over in my neck of the woods on the river. Swapping holes and actually laughing and talking to each other as we float down the river.
Hows about this? On opening day of trout season this year why don't we all take at least one kid out fishing. If your like me and don't yet have your own, take a neighborhood kid out with you. Hook a kid into a fish and watch his eyes light up. Live for the moment and remember why we all do what we do and why we got into this sport!!
Lots of guys have been asking what is the SRBC. Well here it goes, SRBC Outta Da Sack!!! SRBC was formed by a group of guys on my web site's chat room. It was formed when we were all crushed by the closures of all of our "S" rivers in the Puget Sound region. After we all got our venting over with and decided to do the best with what we had and still have fun we decided to form our own little gang our group if you will to promote the fun back into fishing. Couldn't decide wether we were gonna be "Blood" or "Crip" so we went with Bloody Crips. Originally started as the Skagit River Bloody Crips, SRBC and then grew to "S" rivers throughout the Northwest even including the Snake and others. Initiation was simple if we knew you were gonna promote the fun back into the sport. Great ice breaker on a crowded river where guys were gettin testy with each other. Float a blow up doll down the river with a cigar in her mouth past all the other boats. Hence, Robbo's girlfriend we all miss so much!! Sorry for your loss Robbo.
Gotta' have fun with what we do here guys and at the same time promote doing what we can to preserve what we have left.
Sorry so long winded, I feel better now!!

Tight Lines to all and may your waders never dry!!!! J---<")(\(\(\)>{

SRBC OUTTA DA HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
