Just read in the Seattle Times April 12 that tha Lower mainstream Columbia will close on tuesday the 16th of April until further notice for the taking of salmon, steelhead, and shad. Go figure! The powers to be will meet on april 20th to discuss catch rates and possibly reopening the lower river.
