Hey Desertdog I did the same thing to my drift boat trailer, just got hammered by rocks from my truck tires, so first I put mud flaps on, and still got rocks pounding my trailer, but kept the rocks off the boat, then had the trailer line x ed and dont have the problem any more, also doing this willl make the trailer life alot longer, it will help keeping it from rusting.
