Just had a BC experience. I commend the BC Parks. I am not knocking the many beautiful parks that we have in the states- we are fortunate in North America to have many of these places deemed as Parks and keep them “untouched”. Some of the differences I noticed while camping at the Parks in BC are the cleanliness of the sites and upkeep, the restrooms=clean, firewood provided!!!!!!-that’s sweet- I have camped in places here in Washington that people take axes to the bathrooms, hacking trees in campsites for firewood, or bring wood pallets and start uncontrollable fires. I was impressed with the number of “Information points”, and signs that as you drove pointed out the peaks you are driving past=kewl. The watersheds that are left undammed and YES fish do prosper if this happens-the Thompson, the Fraser. I won’t say we in the States have a LONG way to go, but we can definitely learn from our neighbors in the north.
