I took my wife out last night after work to try for some silvers. So I bait her hook up throw it out and set the rod in the rod holder. I bend down to grab a herring out of the cooler when she starts getting exited yelling what do I do, what do I do. After a 10 minute fight, with slack line and pointing the rod at the fish multiple times, She landed her first salmon, an 8 lb silver, smiling from ear to ear.

I bait up her hook again and throw it out, and all be dammed if she didnt hook and land another one before I could even get a herring out of the cooler. Two fish in the boat and her bait wasnt in the water more than 10 seconds. She's hooked... needless to say, we'll be going back out tomorrow.

I guess I'll have to bait my hook first from now on.
