Fished the river from about 6:30 a.m. till around noon today. Keith wasn't bulls****ing about the fish being stacked throughout the river-jumping everywhere. Lot's of big chinook and silvers-many of them fairly bright, too. Results-lost one spinner, landed three sticks and somebody's lost line, seen one chinook about 30 pounds landed and two silvers landed. All were snagged. mad Me, I got 0 shocked. Tried eggs, spinners, jigs, wiggle warts, everything but the kitchen sink. Oh well, seems like the same story for me-very seldom do I get a fish during an outing. shocked Boaters at the meat hole were consistently catchin' fish. Hundreds of people up there. For those of you that haven't experienced this ya gotta go up there and check it out. What a freakin mess! Had fun anyway. On the way out I noticed a game warden driving up towards the hatchery. Hope he got some snaggers. Anybody see if he did? Decided to go trout fishing afterwards and got 4 fish all around 15/16 inches. cool What I've learned in the past few years of fishing silvers is (for me anyway), in rivers they are the hardest fish to get to bite. By the way, what's up with the boat ramp at the golf course? Closed?
