I've been up there on some of those smaller streams and some of the tracks you see make the hair stand up on your neck. Not only that but most of those smaller streams have thick brush along the sides and it's not too fun when you hear stuff, that is large stuff moving around back in it. James and I were on one stream and on our way out about 0 dark 30 we came to a thick alder patch and followed an elk trail out which was no wider than yourself, and the wierd thing is you couldn't walk out through the alders because they are so thick. At the end of the alders there was a small animal, I beleive it was a bobcat that ran right across james's feet. He yelled at it but since that day I won't go into those thick areas without a pistol.
It's not the bobcats that scare us its those longtails.
