On a different subject, I'm told that lots of fishermen lie. Could this be true? In that vain, I'd like to hear some whoppers you've heard from other fishers. I'll get the "Three Most Common Lies" out of the way first; then have at it - if you want.

3rd most common lie - "The check is in the mail."

2nd most common lie - "I won't come." (hey, could be about a lot of things, ya know)

Most common lie - "I have no clues. I guess I am learning some things that go on behind the scenes. How does everyone expect me to know what is going on?"

Wow! Hard on the ol' eyebrows, eh?

Oh, one well known fisherman's lie: Kid Sauk, "I'm not a virgin. Really!" Ya, sure. ...
