A false arrest charge will make a fool out of any arresting officer. Do your homework first, and then make your move! Most river property owners don't even know or understand the laws when it comes to public access to our rivers. You may have to take your issue to court to make your point. Remember this; if you are right, then you are entitled to ask for both the courts costs and your attorney fees if you were falsely charged with a trespass charge. Explain this to both the officer and the land owner before you make your stand!
