FJ-

Still at the counter on Fri/Sat. I love hearing all the Cowlitz stories of terror and mayhem from the seething throngs of humanity...scary!

Spoon virgin story for you all...I had a client from Colorado last week on the Bogachiel. A half million boats as usual, fishing is tough...he got his first, secong, third, fourth and fifth steelhead on a 2/5ths silver oval...many other boats had one or none. And you always get the same "deer in the headlights" look from other anglers when you tell them what you've been wailing them on. We fished the flats and other similar areas that literally hundreds of drift fishermen never touched and had a great day, using what no one else was. The Colorado gentleman, not familiar with the ways and means of a crowded river during hatchery brat return, was quite puzzled. "Why", he said, "isn't anyone else using this technique when we are doing so well?"

I just grinned and rowed...

Bill.
