The upper model is 72 million modulas and is pretty much the same as a IMX. For the money this sensitive of a rod cant be beat by Loomis or Lamiglas. The 43 million modulas is teal green in color and the 72 is the same as a IMX. The high end rod is made in most popular Loomis configurations. The rods are spun at All Star Rods in Texas but are marketed by the name Rainshadow and Bob Batson in Squim. As far as a rod Demo I dont think you'll find a complete because there blanks that need to be wrapped by someone. Travis can you help?
All the rainshadows (72 million modulas)Ive used and own are as light and sensitive as a Loomis IMX. They seem a tad slower too. For instance the 1084's we compared last year seemed more mod-fast than fast like the loomis 1084. I have a 1143 in Loomis and Rainshadow. The Rainshadow is lighter and a bit more sensitive but a hair slower too. I think this is good though as more and more rods becoming popular are a tad on the slower side than the fast or ex-fast side. Slower is more forgiving and the fish will usaully have more time to pick it up and hold it longer with the slower rods. (i.e. the introduction of the 1141 and 1143 by loomis for boondoggers).
I have a few if your ever up in Tacoma/Seattle, Forks or the Kitsap Penn. Or anyone else for that matter that wants a Demo around those areas.
