T-BONE, Besides using my own cured eggs, I like to boondog a jensen egg and a sandshrimp tail.
I brake the tail off a med-large sandshrimp, then thread in up and over a #2 or #1 gamakatsu red
octopus hook, up onto the leader. Then I thread a red jensen egg over the hook, past the eye,so the jensen egg and sandshrimp tail ride on leader on top of the hook eye. Works cast after cast,very deadly for summer and winter steelhead.Try it as a back up to eggs , it realy works
