Look at the Berkley IM7, That is one tough rod, A buddy of mine swears by the Dave vedder specials, I ve got the 15 to 50 lb 8 1/2 ft rod for kings in the lower columbia with 25lb test on a 6600 abu the rod works good in the heavy curents, the rod costs about 70 to 80 dollars great rod for the dollar, If you can afford a little mor than 100 dollars check out thcustomrods@harborside.com They sell the awsome rainshadow rods they have these rods in all sizes at great prices I will put these rods up agianst loomis and lamiglass all day long. I have 3 rainshadows working on a fourth, 2 Loomis's and 2 Lammys If your looking for a king and chum rod look at the TH 1023 from rainshadow its rated at 12 to 25lbs in a 8 1/2 ft. hope this helps
