Matt, as far as no hatchery fish being planted according to the "hatchery manager". I'm kinda confused as to why he'd say that, considering I have the smolt releases for 2000 and they planted both winter and summer fish for this year. I don't know if you recall but the winter run this year for hatchery fish was pretty good in the EF, and those fish were planted when? You guessed it, 2000. Are ya sure he didn't mean fish planted in 2001??? But if I recall, last spring there was hatchery clipped smolt in the river, so I dunno. That why I'm a bit confused!?!
