When I sold my 14' Lund, I looked at Duroboats and bigger Lunds. I went with a Smokercraft Alaskan. The lunds were not as wide or deep as the SC and after a weekend trip with my buddies Duroboat I made up my mind on the SC. The Duroboat does give a wetter ride overall. My SC is plenty tough, 5yrs of hard fishing in all sorts of waters,it has proven to be very seaworthy and stable. Another buddie has a SC and it is starting to leak a little at some of the rivets at the bottom. His is a 1985 and has never seen fresh water, all he fishes is the sound. Thats pretty good service for a non-welded alum. boat that sees alot of pretty choppy water.
