I would very much encourage you to try a super line if you have not. Be patient as they are very different from mono for sure. For me, I could not imagine not using a superline anymore, the sensitivity gained with these lines is incredible. My favorite superline when its new is Fireline but it has a horrible tendency to fray after 20 uses or so eventually turning from black in color to black/white and finally all white. From tests I have personally done it loses its strength considerably once it begins to fray. Tuff line (not tuff line plus) came out best on the line test (for the braids) and it is good line. I have had some problems with it seperating while adjusting a bobber stopper so that might be a consideration. It's not nearly as sensitive as the Fireline. Powerpro is a great line, very sensitive, does not fray from my experience and is quite strong. It tends to wrap around your guides and anything else it touches including another persons line if they come in contact. You might consider using a mono leader with the power pro tho as it tested very low in abrasion resistance. Good luck!
