Classification has very little if anything to do with how much of the beach you own. All it does have to do with is where in relationship to a city or town your tidelands are. The real question here is the extent of tide height ownership from the high tide line or more typically the meander line which is usually the vegetation line downwards to extreme low water. This will vary from parcel to parcel. Ignoring the meander line ownership you will run into 2 types of tidelands ownership the first being mean low water....this varies throughout Puget Sound from a + 2 foot to a +3 foot tide height. The next type would be extreme low which is easy for all of you...minus 3 to minus 3.5 feet. Finally the navigable waters thing does not apply if your walking across someones property...your trespassing.
