Check out the fishing tips section of this site, and tie your leaders with the bumper knot shown here .

Once you've tied one hook on, slide your other hook down the line to the place where you want it to live, and tie your second knot the same way.

Forget about tying sliding rigs, you don't want them... all that happens when you use them is that you'll eventually hook a fish with the top hook, it will slide down and break off the bottom hook, both hooks will come off, and your fish will get away. Stay away from slip ties.
