The dam counts indicate that there aren't a lot of salmon in that area yet. I never get worried about fishing there until well after Labor day, then you'll see me at Reed Island. Plenty of steelhead, but the water's pretty warm, so they're not biting well.

Go downriver, young man... Fish the bay...
