Headed up to do some plug pulling for silvers saturday. Had one good take down and got it to the boat a nice bright silver for fishbox. Saw a lot of fish caught but most were the color of my redwing boots (black). Great day once we made it their. Headed up the hill by mineral lake saw a big blazer rolled over in the ditch with a bunch of staters lookin it all over. I slowed down to about 35mph and could feel my van and boat sliding on the black ice. The roads were fine other than that. Most of the trip it was around 30 degrees outside then we hit morton heading uphill and it just kept getting warmer 54 degrees when we hit the water. Fished from 9 till 1330 no fog just a perfect day. I am backing the trailer down the ramp to pull my boat back out and head home. I look up at the digital thermometer in my van and it is reading 70 degrees. Now I know it wasnt that warm but it was in the direct sun and it felt like t shirt and beer weather. Then on the 2 1/2 hour trip home the temp dropped 31 degrees and we were again shrouded in fog back home in black diamond. I wonder if it will be my last bright silver of the year.
