Along with money, they scheduled a team like OU, because it helps with recruiting. If they play a big school like OU, then if they win its great, if they lose, then not that big of deal they were supposed to.
If they schedule a team like BSU, it does not help them with recruits, if they win, no big deal they are a big school, playing a smaller school they should win, but if they lose to BSU it make the program look like [Bleeeeep!].
Not to hard to understand when one pays attention to what most other NCAA schools are doing.
