What a geat way to paint the whole pro-immigration side, as extremists. I don't know any pro-immigration individual who supports removing the border patrol, forcing US citizens to learn Spanish, and providing to illegal immigrants , without qualifications, all the entitlements that a US citizen in poverty receives. This is what happens when Fox News uses the the loudest, stupidest, most outlandish idiots to represent the voice of the left.

Something does need to change. We spend just enough money to make sure illegals keep their heads down once they get into the US but not enough to prevent them from entering in the first place. Why? Because Republicans support big business, and big business loves cheap labor.

I have a solution. Make it harder to get into the US as an illegal, but easier under work visa's. And then put a special income tax on them that pays for their healthcare, their childrens education, and English lessons. Yes I think they should be able to come in and do those jobs that are hard to fill, but I think they should also pay their own way. Give them a high tech ID card, and if employers don't check with immigration dept that their status is good, whip the employer.


This solves the frustration that people (including me) have with paying services for people who are here illegally, it allows employers to continue hiring for low income positions, and it allows for immigration to keep track of who is in the US.

The one point that I do share with the conservatives is that English should be a requirement for any extended visa, or citizenship. Its so true its become a cliche, "we weren't speaking the same language". Learn to speak the damm language, no matter what country you're originally from. You get 6 months and then I will personally throw you out.
