It works very well!

Smaller dia = less water resistance so you do not need as much weight to get down.
Low to zero stretch = unbelievable sensitivity, especially when fishing deep.
Course you need to use a monofilament leader to introduce a lil stretch into the equation.

The advice bout not settin the hook too soon is right on, if you've done much mooching it shouldn't be too hard to get used to the new small diameter low stretch lines.

They work even better for jigging!

The main drawbacks are:
>High-strength/low stretch, be careful if you get snagged -- could break a pole or worse.
>If yer not careful about how you spool-up the line can cut down into to the coils and effectively lock up the real (I learned this the hard way with a pretty nice king).
>Knot strength -- standard knots don't work very well with many of these lines
>Some people complain about a lack of resistance to abrasion.

Hope that helps a bit,

Sincerely,
Roger
