you guys are crazy, mcCoy is a very strong line, pulled up a chain cod with 8 lb test with a 20 lb shock leader at the rich passage salmon pens. lifted a 6 lb salmon onto a high pier with the same spool and busted 2 high quality rods this year fishin for chums. used the same spool twice in 99 and 2000 on my beach casting rod and caught alot of fish believe me. line funked out after 6 months, do you know how long lines sit on the shelf before there bought? line and knot strength under the lb strenght on the spool. I see you guys must just jump on the tackle shop band wagon for lines to use. its ok thou, were all diffrent
