Please let me know what you think of their two man boat after you get it.

I plan to get one of Creek Company two man boats within a couple of weeks. This way I can take family members or friends out. Seems like the best option with my Toyota Corolla.

My fishing partner and I each bought one of their 10' boats. We like them and they stack on top of each other very well on my utility trailer.

Anyway, I changed the seat on my 10' boat because the bar at the top of the seat hit me in the back. Also the oar locks seem to be too high (and I am 6'2") -- even with mounting the new seat on top of pressure treated 2x4s. To me these are problems I can live with or fix because the price is right. I may cut the top off of the oar lock down closer to the frame. This would only give me about 1/2-3/4" but at the handles that much might help quite a bit -- going to have to look at it more closely. I know it will mess up my warranty but oh well it has to work.

In general we find the boats to be very fast and manuverable. Great fun. Very stable also. Still have to get out on any heavy water but it seemed to handle the Alsea real well.

We had the 9' double pontoon Outcast along on our first trip and compared the 1018 to it and the Creek Company boat handled way better -- much more manuverable than the top of the line Outcast. Though I should add that the Outcast was about 4 years old -- still in great shape but the design has changed a little on the newer ones. They are wider.

My friend said the Creek Company 1018 was the best money he had ever spent.

I look forward to hearing what you think of the 1220 - 2 man boat after you put it together and use it.

I am curious to hear if you think the oar locks seem to high on that boat also. Talk to me.
