I fish them without scent and do ok. Put some smelly jelly on the head of the jig or rub it on your line if preferred. I tried this for a while but it did not seem to increase my hook-ups.

Now tipping the jig with shrimp gave me a big increase in hookups as far as Salmon go. The results are still out for Steelhead.
