I would avoid the Naselle, unless you find smelt(not bait but in the river). My dad went over to the bear river a few days ago and did squat, very unusual for him, The common theory around Long Beach is the Sturgeon run up the river with the smelt. Willipa Bay and its rivers are notorious for not producing much for sturgeon until the little stinky buggers have shot their wad in the Columbia Then they find their way back down to the coast. i am not real sure about how true this all is but I know the sturgeon fishing does not typicaly get good again (down low) 'till may or so. I would try to fish just behind or in the spawned out smelt (In the Col. at the Gray river Wed). I wonder how the Chehalis would stack up, thats a good hole at the Monte Bridge and Preachers slough, I havn't a clue about that river System, just food for thought
Find a hole and hit the upstream side of it and hit it hard....good luck and if luck is good take pics...
