There will be a few oddballs in the river, but really, it's a May fishery for the springers. Some years we'll target them the last part of April, but that's not something you'll be able to count on every season.

Most of the April 'Duc fish are smaller, but there's still a handful of bigger fish around, but I look elsewhere for big fish that time of year
