I have been seeing many many pics on some various websites lately of people holding up wild spring chinook from the Columbia for hero shots.

Given that we are now facing another early closure of this fishery due to the excess take of ESA listed upriver stocks, should we being do our part and thus, not bring these fish out of the water???

Chinook, especially those fresh from the salt, do not C&R very well...netting them, bringing them on board, and then holding them up for a hero shot should be halted.

These are the very last of these precious fish...they are ESA listed!!! Treat them like they should be treated...or not only could these sort of selective fisherys be pulled out from under us down the road but most importantly, we could be helping seal their fate!
