I have 2 Cannons. My UniTroll I bought from ebay, I noticed the counter was not counting correctly. I used a 300' tape to measure at 100' the counter would read 84'. I have a friend with UniTrolls who lent me one to use for an example as I rebuilt this unit. Surprise, his also read 84' at 100'. I emailed Computrol about this and a tech emailed me back stating they have never heard this complaint. I told him I thought the gearing was probably at fault, because the new spool I ordered came with a different gear that the original had. He asked if I would like a new counter. I said sure. Two days later I receive an express package containing a new counter and a couple of gear sets to try. Needless to say with the gear on the new spool, one of the ones he sent fit and now at 100' I read almost 99'. Close enough for gov. work! Oh, and the invoice for the new counter and gears and shipping stated NO CHARGE!! How can you beat that????
