Just incase the picture doesn't show it I will post a picture of the top roller so that you can see how it works. It is just a sliding glass door roller that has a channel grove that fits on the door track. I used 2 small springs to hold it in place. I used seven strand wire from the foot trap screen to trap door (critters can't bite it off). On the back, just before the wire drops down into the bottom trip screen, I placed another door roller to guide for the wire down into the cage trip screen.

On the front of the door, I used a "gate door latch" see (picture). That’s all there is to making it. It's really simple and it really works great! My neighbor just came over this morning and asked if he could use it to catch a coon that is eating up all of his cat's food. Remember, it's important to build the trap for the size of critters that you want to catch. The trap won't hurt your cat if he decides to go into it so don't worry about that.

I have found that when you have cats around and you don't want catch them in it, all you need to do is to use the right "bait". I suggest that you use plums for catching the coons if you have cats running around. Coons love plums and cats won't come near them.

Good luck!

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook????
