DR.....where are you these days? I have been using some really large yet light spoons for Kings this summer. I bought them as a lark kind of from Cabelas and found one that just killed em at Neah Bay and Westport. Funny thing is the spoon is really thin and bends easy..I have caught close to 200 salmon (most released) with it without changing the leader or hook. I kind of bend it back to shape after each "hawg"...It has been a real blast on my GLoomis 1086C with the Shimano Calcutta reel, 20# Silver Thread Excalibur main line and Jinkai 30# leader.....Sounds like Roland Martin on the bass show!! Anyway I have used the 4" all chrome Coyote since it was introduced with great success both by itself and with the Hotspot flasher...I have almost every color and find the plain silver with fish scale decal to be the winner for overall catch rate.... The big spoon has a mylar and air brush paint job but that fell off after a couple of fish and all I had left was a hammered nickle plated spoon. No glow, no green just shiny silver with great action...
Fishing would not be as much fun without tons of gear would it?
By the way I have a PSA SnoKing hat set aside for you when you get back and go fishing with me.
Keep the bad guys in line and hurry home.
