Coyotes are my #1 spoon when herring or 'chovies are the fare of the day, when it's candlefish I use the coho killer. I have had the luxury recently of having lots of rods in the boat and lots of fish to experiment on, and my latest favorite Coyote is one I doctor up myself, green glowmate on the top side, silver prism tape on the underside. This spoon was the clear winner on a recent 32 keeper and God-only-knows how many released day. I think what is so attractive is the contrast between the intense glow on one side and the reflected prism of natural light on the other - must catch their eye more than the other spoons I was using.
