The fish flash work great. They will not replace a flasher if you are going to use a lure that needs action, such as a hootchie, or GSB. I use them almost exclusivly with spoons and bait. They do have less drag than a flasher but will still require a good deal of wieght to get deep if you do not have a downrigger.
