I assume you are fishing the Nisqually Delta area??? I agree with RL, if you want to cast spoons, you'll need to chose a heavier spoon or you might try adding a 1-2oz banana sinker about 4' up the line. If not, the Kingfisher does come in heavy gauge brass for casting.

If you decide to go with adding the sinker, why not try motor mooching (kayak style) or some type of "stop-and-go" out in thin water by McCallister or a little closer to Zittles.
