I think it's a little less than that on inland waters. I can tell you, anecdotally, that I was catching a lot of 2 and 3 pound resident silvers in Early August, and now I'm catching a lot of 4 and 5 pounders. they look like cookie cutter fish, and all are in central Puget Sound, so I'm thinking they're the same group of fish. That would translate to a pound every two weeks.

I think the fish in the ocean, especially the bigger ones, probably do put on that mch weight when the conditions are right.
