Wow, even the moderator's "had enough" thread starts getting pissy. Sheesh.

IMHO, NO topic needs to get nasty. It's simply a matter of not criticising someone because they don't agree, or because they're not presenting an argument the way you think it should be presented.

There really are only three choices that I can see:

1)Self moderation

2)No hot button topics , which COULD include fishing related topics, like how to snag, how to destroy gill nets in the rivers, etc.

3)Heavy handed moderation

Seems like #1 is preferable, but unachievable give the current climate.
