Spent the saturday morning high tide beach fishing and saw about 3 fish for 25 fishermen. Went back for the low tide and saw no fish.

Sunday, fished hard for 6 hours with the downriggers through both the high and the low tide and landed one fish at just over 6 lbs. for the two of us in the boat. VERY SLOW weekend for fishing along the Whidbey side.

I saw very few fish landed in total, but as we were pulling the boat out at keystone around 1:00 there were a few fish showing - too late for us however.

Later that night I heard the gillnetters were out just outside Admirlty Inslet. Does anyone know if commercial boats fish the east end of the straigts? If so, how often and who?
