Here we go again with people automatically assuming Tribe bashing...... Note that it was never mentioned that the people checked were Tribal????? It was a sweep of COMMERCIAL fisherman, not tribal. The only point I try to make concerning Tribal fisheries is that they are a lot more loosely regulated than non-tribal commercials, and that many tribal members do not believe that non-tribal authorities have any jurisdiction over them, therefore generally disregarding most regulations handed down from non-tribal "authorities" as not pertaining to them...... Okay???
I think that much of the overtaking of salmon on the columbia mainstem occurs with non-tribal fisherman, tribals are more of a problem, I believe, on tributaries that are much smaller and easier to watch......
