Up around the Satsop, there are some shallows that take lower units out every year. You can avoid this happening to you by keeping your eye on the tide, and using caution at low tide. The riffle just below the launch at the mouth of the Satsop can be skinny at low tide. The launch there is a piece of junk any more, too.

For the most part, just keep an eye out and you'll be OK.
